I love my Guninea Pigs

I love my guinea pigs:

Hearing my foot steps they start to squeak; qwee qwee qwee qwee qwee. Are they saying welcome or we are hungry!

That I don't know. I come back home very tired, there has been too much work to do lately and I have got only a few minutes to spare for my guinea pigs; sometimes if I want to rest my eyes from my books  and sometimes very early in the morning before going out to work.

As I step closer to their room, the squeaking gets louder and faster.  When I open the door... they just melt my heart. I have known guinea pigs to be very shy creatures, always looking for where to hide their heads under even when their is no perceived or real danger.

Lo my poor cute little brave babies are not like any other guinea pigs... Opening the door to go in, the also step out of hiding, run round in zigzag as they approach me.

Their glistening eyes looking like they are full of tears; their squeaking sounds still confusing me.  Are they trying to say we miss you or we are hungry...

I feel guilty. I have never been punctual and sometimes they go a whole day without seeing me. But they've been strong, never giving up on me.

How they survived without my being there for all this years????
And why they never get tired of calling out to me whenever I am back????

I think it's love

I love my guinea pigs even though I feel guilty of not being around for them... They sure love me too!
