  • Noisemakers; cat toys with bells inside, baby rattles
  • Hard plastic carrier for emergencies, trips to the veterinarian

 

RUNNING SPACE

Indoors:
  • Bunny-proofed room(s)
  • Litter box
  • Toys (chew & dig)
Outdoors (if the rabbit will be given SUPERVISED play time outdoors):
  • Fenced patio/porch/playpen (with floor)
  • If necessary, a plastic desk mat, or other cover to protect your carpet

CONSUMABLES

  • Limited pellets daily
  • Fresh water
  • Hay /straw (for digestive fiber and chewing recreation)
  • Fresh salad veggies/fruit (add gradually)
  • Wheat (very small amounts)
  • Wood (for chewing recreation)
  • Treats; dried fruits, apple, banana, pineapple, berries etc.

  • Flea comb
  • Brush
  • Flea products safe for rabbits
  • Toenail clippers

SUPPLIES

  • Dust-free organic litter (not wood shavings)
  • Pooper-scooper
  • Whiskbroom/dustpan
  • White vinegar (for urine accidents)
  • Hand vacuum
  • Chlorine bleach (for disinfecting)
  • Newspapers
  • Heavy crocks for water and food
  • Hand towel
This list is by no means correct or complete. Rabbit needs may  differ due to environmental factors, breed of rabbit, etc. Fancy breeds like the Angora and other long haired breeds which require special care are more expensive to care for.
